Types of Air Layer Fabric
Knitted air layer fabric is a type of material that is made from air. In the process of manufacturing air layer fabrics, it is necessary to adhere to certain safety and environmental conditions. These qualities are very important for the durability and aesthetics of air layer fabric. In order to ensure the quality of the material, it should be stored in a snag-free environment.

Knitted air layer fabric has three layers - the two outer layers are made of knitted materials and the middle layer is made of air. The middle layer is not tightly bonded with the outer fabric and will have 1-2 mm of voids. This material has good elasticity and does not wrinkle. This makes it suitable for making windbreakers and coats.

Ribbed air layer fabric is knitted using a flat knitting machine. The machine head is moved back and forth three turns and then the ribs are woven together. This type of fabric has a cross-flute effect on two surfaces and is often thicker than knitted air layer fabric. It is also easy to produce. In contrast to knitted air layer fabric, ribbed air layer fabric is softer and more breathable.

Another type of air layer fabric is made using duplex or double-layer knitting. It has a duplex weave, which involves a main yarn 4 and a second, not-plaiting yarn. A plaiting duplex weave allows the main yarn to be bonded with the other yarns, which creates a two-layered fabric.
